Music: Elvis Costello
Suddenly, new fiancée in tow, he’s everywhere. At awards shows and Vanity Fair parties, hosting talk shows. Such is the fate of angry young men. And at least he’s not writing rock operas about Edgar Allan Poe, like some other seminal rock artists we know. The man who once bore all of New Wave’s skinny-tied hopes and fears on his narrow shoulders comes to town, with the other piano player in his life, the incomparable Steve Nieve. Orpheum Theatre. 604-280-4444.
